Tidewater Pier:

Step into a world of wonder and excitement as Baltimore Peninsula Development unveils its latest addition to the waterfront: Tidewater Pier. This magnificent structure serves as an extension of Tidewater Street, gracefully stretching into picturesque Winans Cove. Prepare to be captivated by the innovative design of this Pier, divided into three distinct sections, each offering a unique and immersive experience.

Your sense of smell will be your primary guide as you enter the Pier from the revitalized Peninsula walking path. Section One features a spectacular mobile food court showcasing Baltimore's finest food truck vendors. Take a seat at one of the high-top tables and indulge in a delectable array of culinary delights representing the rich and diverse flavors of the city. From traditional Maryland crab cakes to mouthwatering ethnic cuisine, there's something to satisfy every palate.

Section Two provides a unique vision of Baltimore as you ascend to the raised observation deck. From this vantage point, you'll soak in breathtaking views of the surrounding area, including the shimmering waters of Winans Cove. As you descend from the observation deck, you'll find yourself in an open-air market, providing a local source of fresh produce, bread, and other essentials. This vibrant marketplace caters to new Peninsula residents' needs and serves as an opportunity for retail vendors to connect with and contribute to the thriving Peninsula community.

Arriving at the end of the Pier, you'll discover a serene gathering space that is truly a testament to the versatility of Tidewater Pier. This grassy area is a stage for theater performances, film screenings, and live entertainment. Imagine basking in the sun, surrounded by the soothing sounds of music, laughter, and applause. This beautiful space fosters community and cultural appreciation, bringing people together to celebrate the arts and enjoy unforgettable experiences.

Throughout Tidewater Pier, a compelling feature ties everything together— the transitional gallery. On the left side of the Pier, you'll encounter ten-foot-high aluminum picture frames, meticulously securing canvas sail cloth printed with a rotating collection of artwork and historical exhibitions. But there's more to these framed curated pieces than meets the eye. Augmented Reality technology breathes new life into these images, transforming them into immersive storytelling experiences. The artwork springs to life through sound, virtual animation, and video, captivating visitors with its narrative and bringing a dynamic dimension to the gallery.

Augmented Reality Exhibitions:

On the right shore of the Pier, prepare for a tour of epic proportions. You can explore the posted markers along the water's edge using your smartphone, tablet, or AR glasses. With a touch of technology, authentic sea vessels from Baltimore Harbor's past emerge before your eyes as if transported through time. Engage with 3D artifacts and tools, virtually meet ship and steelworkers from different historical periods, and delve into the rich maritime heritage that has shaped Baltimore's identity.

Furniture Storage & Transport:

Tidewater Piers furniture and utility solutions offer convenience and efficiency for various outdoor settings. The furniture and transport options are designed to be durable, versatile, and easily movable.

Recycled shipping containers, Each 20ft (6.06m) container, standing at 9.5ft (2.89m) high, provide robust protection against the element. With the combined capacity to hold a full inventory of "Boat Boxx" seating, standing tables, umbrellas, tables and chairs, outdoor heaters, and more, the 20ft containers offer ample storage space. Additionally, smaller 10ft containers are retrofitted to provide partial storage and secure retail displays, catering to diverse needs.

To move items around the Peninsula we have developed a lightweight, connectable transport solution. Boat Boxx sleds feature an aluminum frame and a grated deck surface. These sleds are equipped with all-terrain beach wheels, allowing for smooth movement across various surfaces.

Powered by customized electric, rechargeable three-wheel bikes, designed specifically for towing and leading the sleds, providing a practical and efficient means of transportation throughout the compound.

In conclusion:

With its mobile food court, open-air market, serene gathering space, transitional gallery, and interactive historical tour, Tidewater Pier is a culmination of immersive and engaging experiences designed to captivate visitors of all ages. Whether you're a food lover seeking culinary delights, a culture enthusiast searching for artistic inspiration, or a history buff fascinated by Baltimore's maritime legacy, this waterfront addition promises to leave an indelible impression on all who venture to its shores. Embark on a journey like no other and let Tidewater Pier transport you to a world of wonder and imagination.
