About Designer Scott Benjamin Tucker

The Brooklyn-born entrepreneur began his creative education at FIT (Fashion Institute of Technology) for interior design before receiving his BFA from LIU (Long Island University). He completed a study abroad program at the Winchester School of Art in the UK and acquired hands-on skills in welding and stonework at the Corcoran School of Art in Washington, DC.

In 2004, Tucker launched his design and construction business in Brooklyn, NY, specializing in renovation, restoration, and custom furniture design. His client list includes Hampton Resorts, Spike DDB, The Apollo Theater, Evian France, and Nike. The furniture and interiors in his portfolio reflect Tucker’s unwavering commitment to exceptional design, structural integrity, and meticulous attention to detail.

Now based in Baltimore, Tucker has expanded his practice into a multidisciplinary design ecosystem that bridges furniture, fabrication, lighting, and immersive environments. As Founder and Creative Director of Raunjiba Design & Construction and Raunjiba Creative, he leads the development of custom furniture collections, large-scale fabricated installations, and technology-driven design experiences. Operating from a 10,000-square-foot fabrication and CNC studio, his work seamlessly integrates traditional craftsmanship with advanced digital design and manufacturing processes.

Tucker’s portfolio includes the design and fabrication of bespoke furniture systems, architectural elements, and lighting installations for hospitality environments, public art exhibitions, and cultural activations. His work is distinguished by a refined material language—often combining wood, metal, light, and digital media—to create pieces that are both functional and experiential.

In addition to his design practice, Tucker serves as Board Chair of Create Baltimore, where he plays a leading role in shaping the vision and execution of major cultural initiatives, including the Artscape Festival, the largest free art festival in the United States. Through this leadership, he champions equitable access to the arts, supports emerging creatives, and advances the integration of art, technology, and community development across the city.

Tucker is also the Founder of Urban Arc Development, a forward-thinking real estate and placemaking initiative focused on transforming underutilized urban industrial spaces into vibrant creative hubs—housing studios, fabrication labs, galleries, and public-facing cultural experiences.

Across all facets of his work, Scott Tucker operates at the intersection of design, fabrication, and storytelling—creating environments, objects, and experiences that elevate both form and function while contributing to the cultural and economic fabric of the communities he serves.
